Sproutly Bot - Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By adding or using Sproutly Bot, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use the bot.

2. Purpose of the Bot

Sproutly Bot provides server-scoped plant-care gameplay features, including watering, growth tracking, coins, inventories, shop interactions, leaderboards, weather effects, achievements, and other game mechanics. The bot is intended solely for entertainment and community engagement within Discord servers.

3. User Responsibilities

Users must comply with:

• Discord’s Terms of Service
• Discord’s Community Guidelines
• All applicable laws

Users may not:

• Abuse or spam bot commands
• Attempt to exploit or break gameplay systems
• Use the bot for harassment or malicious activity
• Interfere with the bot’s functionality or stability

4. Prohibited Activities

You may not:

• Reverse engineer, modify, or redistribute the bot
• Use automated scripts, macros, self-bots, or other automation to farm coins or actions
• Attempt unauthorized access to bot systems or stored data
• Use the bot to collect or scrape information about other users

5. Data Collected

Sproutly Bot stores only the minimum data required for gameplay, separately for each Discord server:

• Discord User ID
• Discord server (guild) ID
• Discord display name used when creating a plant
• Plant data (hydration, growth, type, health, etc.)
• Economy and inventory data (coins, seeds, items, purchases, and sales)
• Care actions, achievements, streaks, and gameplay progress

Sproutly Bot does not request or intentionally collect:

• Real names
• Email addresses
• IP addresses
• Messages outside bot commands
• Sensitive personal information

6. How Data Is Used and Shared

Collected data is used exclusively to:

• Provide gameplay features
• Track plant growth and user progress
• Maintain inventories and coins
• Maintain server gameplay, leaderboards, and achievements
• Improve bot stability and functionality

Data is not sold, used for advertising, or sent to external services for gameplay processing. The bot uses wttr.in to retrieve weather for Tampere, Finland; it does not send user, server, or gameplay data in that request. The weather provider may process ordinary technical connection information under its own terms.

7. Data Removal

Users may request deletion of their gameplay data at any time by contacting the bot owner. Users may also run /reset confirm:Confirm to delete their account data for the current server. Once removed, the active data file no longer contains the user’s plants, coins, inventory, display name, and progress for that server. Deployment backups, if any, may be outside the bot operator’s immediate control.

8. Storage and Availability

Gameplay data is stored in a JSON file on the bot host. Deployments without persistent storage may lose data when the service is recreated. Sproutly Bot may go offline at any time for updates, maintenance, storage loss, or technical issues. No uptime guarantee is provided.

9. Changes to Terms

These Terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the bot after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
